Karen Thompson has served in a very important position. From 2011 to
2013, she was the President-General of the Daughters of the Republic of
Texas (DRT). The DRT seeks to preserve the memories of the people
associated with the founding of the Republic of Texas and advocates for
the teaching of Texas history in schools statewide.
Story Press
Imagine sharing your grandmother's stories, in her spoken words, with your grandchildren someday. Think about how your shared life experience, like surviving cancer or starting a business, could help guide someone through a similar experience. Or how about capturing your child's thoughts on the first day of school each year until they graduate? These memories are too important to forget.

Texas State History Museum
Even as mankind moves forward along the path of progress, we continue to
be enthralled by the stories of our past. By listening to the
experiences of others, we can learn from history’s mistakes and develop a
better comprehension of our own present. These stories help us
understand ourselves and our relationship with the world.

You Live As Long As You Are Remembered

Rootstech Recap
The team just got back from 5 full days in Salt Lake City for RootsTech
2013 and it was an amazing experience. It was actually the first
convention we attended as exhibitors.
We were blessed with an overwhelming reception from genealogists
with long lines of people for all 3 days. We also did some great
networking with some of the bigger names in family research, including
the host of this years event, Family Search.
